Can my site handle a lot of traffic?
Yes — effectively unlimited. Your published site is hosted on Cloudflare’s global network (the same infrastructure that runs Stripe, Discord, and around 20% of the web). Pages load from the edge location closest to each visitor, anywhere in the world. Cloudflare absorbs spikes of millions of visitors without slowing down.
To give a sense of scale:
- Typical local business site — 100–2,000 visitors/day. We’re at <0.001% of capacity.
- Regional business with paid ads — 10,000–100,000 visitors/day. Still trivial.
- Featured on local news — 50,000 visitors in an hour, 2,000 contact-form submissions during the spike. The site serves instantly; the form queue drains in 2–3 minutes without anyone seeing an error.
How is my site different from a Wix or Squarespace site?
WebEgg generates a real static website — clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript hosted on a global CDN. That means:
- Much faster page loads. Wix and Squarespace load a heavy editor runtime in the browser even for your visitors; we don’t.
- Better SEO scores on Lighthouse / Core Web Vitals, which Google ranks against.
- No template lock-in. You fully own the design — we’re not selling you a starter kit.
- Lower ongoing cost. No editor bloat to host means no per-page bandwidth charges.
Do I actually own the website?
Yes. The HTML is generated specifically for your business and hosted under your own custom domain (if you connect one). If you ever leave us, you can export your site as a zip file with one click and host it anywhere. We don’t hold your content hostage.
How long does it take to build?
The initial preview is ready in about 60 seconds after you fill out the funnel. You can see, edit, and publish it the same day. Connecting a custom domain takes another 5–30 minutes for DNS to propagate. From signup to a live site at yourbusiness.com is usually well under an hour.
Can I edit it after it’s built?
Yes — that’s the whole point. The AI editor lets you describe changes in plain English (“move the contact form below the testimonials”) or directly click any element to edit it. You can also:
- Swap images by clicking them (one-tap Replace button)
- Change colors and fonts site-wide from the Styles panel
- Add or remove sections and pages from the dashboard
- Update SEO titles, descriptions, and Open Graph tags from the SEO panel
No code required, no separate publishing step beyond clicking Publish Live.
Do you handle SSL / HTTPS?
Automatically. Every site gets a free SSL certificate that’s issued, renewed, and managed for you. Visitors always see the padlock and https:// in the address bar. There’s nothing to buy or install. See SSL and security →
What about my custom domain?
You can register a new domain through us, or connect one you already own at any registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Hostinger, Wix, Cloudflare, etc.). We give you the exact DNS records to copy, and the cert provisions automatically once they propagate.

Will connecting my domain affect my email?
No. The standard setup only touches the records that route web traffic (a single CNAME). Your existing email records — MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC — stay exactly where they are. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, your registrar’s mailbox, whatever you use, keeps working.

What if I want to cancel?
You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Your site stays live through the end of your current billing period. We don’t lock you in, and there’s no early-termination fee. If you want to keep using your domain elsewhere, the one-click export gives you the full HTML to host anywhere.
